Sustainability

Community health is our mission

In everything we do, we strive to improve the lives of those we serve. OhioHealth signed a pledge to reduce organizational emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero by 2050. We have also committed to develop a climate resilience plan that incorporates the needs of our community that experience disproportionate risk of climate-related harm.

We strive to be a leader in sustainability, make a positive impact, improve quality and safety, support associate engagement with a safe and healthy work environment, and make a positive impact on the community.

Environmental health = human health.

“OhioHealth signed a pledge that focuses on climate change and health equity. We’ve pledged to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and develop a climate resilience plan that focuses on vulnerable communities that experience disproportionate health impacts as a result of climate change.”
