About

Bio
Andrea G. Malone, DO, is an experienced board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in movement disorders. Her special interests include Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, atypical causes of Parkinsonism, dystonia, and more. Dr. Malone is also trained in providing botulinum toxin injections for conditions such as chronic migraine, cervical dystonia, hemifacial spasm, head tremor, spasticity and other conditions.

Dr. Malone chose to specialize in movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease, because she enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She finds it rewarding to observe how a small change can have a big impact on her patients’ lives.

She was a co-investigator of a clinical research study that examined the effects of exercise on Parkinson’s disease. In the study, she worked with leaders of the Delay the Disease program, which is now known as OhioHealth Delay the Disease™. She also has experience with Parkinson’s patients in a clinical research tutorial in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Dr. Malone received her undergraduate degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She completed her internship, neurology residency and movement disorders fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, American Academy of Neurology and the American Osteopathic Association.
