J. Brett Fleming, MD, is a neurosurgeon with a focus on cerebrovascular diseases. His special interests include cervical and lumbar spine disease, as well as brain tumors.
Dr. Fleming was the first physician in Ohio to use the NICO BrainPath. This technology allows him to reach deeper into the brain while minimizing damage to surrounding tissue. It is used to target hemorrhages caused by trauma or stroke and brain tumors.
Dr. Fleming completed his undergraduate degree at Denison University, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Actively involved in the medical community, Dr. Fleming is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
Originally from Delaware, Ohio, Dr. Fleming is excited to be back in the central Ohio area.
In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys traveling and utilizing his language skills in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
