Laura Popelar, RN, MS, CNRN, CNP, MSCN, is an experienced neurology nurse practitioner certified in multiple sclerosis. She has worked closely with neurologists to care for patients with all types of neurologic disorders for more than 20 years.
A native of central Ohio, Laura earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from The Ohio State University. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses and the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.
Laura volunteers with the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She has presented at many of its programs, and was honored with the Isroff Volunteer of the Year Award from the society's Ohio Buckeye Chapter. She also enjoys being an educator to nurse practitioner students at The Ohio State University.
In her free time, Laura likes cooking, hiking and vacationing with her family in San Antonio and Colorado Springs.
