Wellness on Wheels

OhioHealth Wellness on Wheels removes barriers to care and improves health outcomes

 OhioHealth Wellness on Wheels works just like a normal doctor’s office, delivering primary care, women’s health services and prenatal care. On average, Wellness on Wheels serves close to 1,000 patients annually, with a commitment to health equity — no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.

Primary care

We provide reliable, convenient care for everything from routine health needs, to minor illnesses and injuries, to the management of chronic health conditions. Wellness on Wheels Primary Care services include:

  • Annual physicals and wellness exams
  • Preventive health services and immunizations
  • Child and adult sick visits
  • Chronic disease management, including diabetes and high blood pressure
  • Women’s health services
  • LGBTQ care
  • Behavioral health support for anxiety and depression
  • Services for patients 8 years of age and older  

Our primary care physicians are graduates of medical school who are finishing a three-year family medicine residency. Board-certified OhioHealth family physicians serve as their senior partners, providing constant and direct supervision.

Women’s health

Our Wellness on Wheels mobile unit is staffed with a team of OB-GYN physicians who provide prenatal, postpartum and women’s health services including:

  • Reproductive counseling and birth control
  • Ultrasounds
  • Laboratory testing
  • Services available to women of all ages
  • Prenatal, postpartum, and after-delivery care
