The OhioHealth Advanced Heart and Vascular Center brings together cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, kidney specialists and radiologists in a single location. This means you can consult with heart and vascular providers who collaborate on your care, complete testing and receive treatment without having to leave the building or schedule multiple appointments. The center is located on the sixth floor of the OhioHealth McConnell Heart Hospital at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Clinics and services at the center
- Structural Heart Disease Clinic
Our experts provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with heart valve disease and other structural heart conditions.
- Heart Failure Clinic
Our team provides support to help patients manage heart failure and live longer, healthier lives. We provide education about diet, exercise and weight management, as well as managing multiple medications. If needed, we offer genetic testing, treatments and access to clinical trials.
- Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Clinic
The OhioHealth Atrial Fibrillation Clinic cares for patients experiencing acute episodes of AFib that require immediate evaluation or support. It is intended to reduce unnecessary emergency department visits and hospitalizations. For more information, call (614) 788-AFIB (2342).
- Cardiac and Vascular Imaging
These imaging procedures allow doctors to see inside your heart and blood vessels. Services include echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, nuclear stress testing and exercise treadmill testing.
- Destination Ventricular Assist Device (DT VAD)
For severe heart failure patients who are not candidates for transplant, we offer DT VAD, a mechanical pump used to support heart function and blood flow.
- Cardiac Genetics
We provide genetic counseling and testing for hereditary cardiovascular conditions that cause cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia or hypercholesterolemia.
- EECP® (Enhanced External Counterpulsation)
EECP therapy is a safe, noninvasive, outpatient treatment option for chronic stable angina. It is refractory to optimal anti-anginal medical therapy for conditions without options for other revascularization or interventions. EECP therapy can also be used for those with syndrome x microvascular angina or chest discomfort with normal coronary arteries.
- Critical Limb and Wound Care Center
We care for patients with peripheral vascular disease who are at risk for limb loss. We offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which promotes the healing of wounds.
