Life after a blood and marrow transplant requires specialized care, and that’s where the OhioHealth BMT Survivorship Clinic comes in. Our compassionate team of experts works to improve everyday life for BMT patients, survivors and their families by focusing on their unique clinical needs.
BMT patients are referred to the clinic 90 days after their transplant. For existing OhioHealth BMT patients, our team will contact you about scheduling.
The clinic addresses concerns such as:
- Bone health
- Cancer prevention
- Chronic graft versus host disease
- Cognitive dysfunction
- Concerns about sex and fertility
- Emotional distress (anxiety, depression and fear of recurrence)
- Fatigue (trouble keeping up with physical activity)
- Late effects of cancer therapy
- Nutrition
- Sleep problems
