Brian F. Seaman, DO, FACOS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, specializing in the care of the adult neurosurgical patient.
Dr. Seaman has extensive neurosurgical experience treating complex spinal conditions. To maximize safety and accuracy during his surgeries, Dr. Seaman utilizes the latest neurological monitoring and computer assisted spinal navigational technologies. When complex spinal reconstruction is required, Dr. Seaman utilizes cutting edge personalized implants and predictive computed modeling to obtain the very best clinical outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Seaman has performed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology, and routinely treats benign and malignant brain tumors at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Seaman attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. His medical training was completed at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.
Dr. Seaman’s neurosurgical internship was completed at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. His neurosurgical residency training was obtained at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. This was followed by a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology and complex spinal surgery at the H. Lee Moffitt Research and Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
In September 2024, Dr Seaman was awarded the honor of Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (DFACOS). Distinguished Fellows are chosen based upon an outstanding and long sustained demonstration of engagement and service to the ACOS, exceptional professionalism, consummate integrity and noted leadership. This honor is bestowed upon the best of our profession.
Dr. Seaman works closely with Jamie Ullmer, CNP to treat neurosurgical patients at OhioHealth Neuroscience Center at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Seaman lives in Delaware, Ohio, with his wife, Holly and their three children.
