Dr. Smith is a board-certified neurologist specializing in autoimmune disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, neurosarcoidosis, optic neuritis and Beçhet’s disease.
Dr. Smith believes treatment benefits his patients most when it reaches beyond clinical care. He helps his patients weave exercise, a healthy diet and stress management into their day-to-day lives. When it comes to making medical decisions, Dr. Smith is a partner to his patients, ensuring they fully understand their options and guiding them to make the best decision for them.
Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo in Ohio, and his medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus. He completed an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, and a neuroimmunology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hiking and watching college football.
