About

Bio
James D. Miller, D.O. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement with extensive training in the latest orthopedic technology, techniques and minimally invasive joint replacement surgery. His expertise includes muscle-sparing, direct anterior hip replacement and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Miller is dedicated to providing his patients with quality care and will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan for your anterior hip replacement or robotic-assisted total joint replacement. The anterior hip replacement allows Dr. Miller the ability to perform this procedure through a smaller incision without cutting any muscles to give you the best chance for a successful outcome, a shorter hospital stay, less pain and a faster return to normal activity.

Dr. Miller graduated with Sigma Sigma Phi honor society standing from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery residency at UPMC Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he completed an additional year of fellowship training specializing in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh. He holds memberships in the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (A.A.H.K.S.), American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (A.A.O.S.) and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (A.O.A.O.).

As a former college athlete at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio, Dr. Miller remains an avid sports enthusiast with an active lifestyle. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running and playing golf.
