Xiao-Song Zhao, MD, is a board-certified neurologist providing comprehensive treatment for neurological conditions, including epilepsy/seizures, multiple sclerosis, headaches, stroke, movement disorders, dementia and peripheral nerve and muscle diseases. Dr. Zhao is subspecialized in neuromuscular medicine and also trained in providing botulinum toxin injections, electromyography and nerve conduction studies and most basic neurological procedures.
Dr. Zhao earned his medical degree at Tongji Medical University in Wuhan, China, where he also practiced infectious disease and preventive medicine for a short time. He later received his PhD from Shanghai Medical University. After his research fellowship with University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Dr. Zhao completed his residency and clinical fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has been practicing neurology ever since.
Dr. Zhao has a passion for neurology and he values personalize, patient-centered care. He takes the time to get to know and understand each of his patients. He believes in caring for the individual first, then working with them to provide the best care possible. When he’s not spending time with his patients, Dr. Zhao enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his family.
