Eric Ackah, MD, PhD, FACC joined OhioHealth Heart and Vascular Physicians in 2015. He practices general cardiology at OhioHealth hospitals, and sees patients in the office. After receiving his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Ackah completed internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School before returning to Yale for cardiology fellowship. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT.
Dr. Ackah specializes in cardiac imaging and received training in advanced cardiovascular imaging, including cardiac MRI and cardiac CTA. His clinical interest is in general cardiology. He provides consultation in all aspects of noninvasive cardiology, such as ischemic heart disease, heart valve disease and heart disease prevention. He enjoys educating his patients to ensure that they are well informed about their health and likes to form a partnership with them to actively involve them in decisions and in managing their cardiovascular health.
Philosophy of Care: OhioHealth Heart & Vascular physicians and surgeons work closely with their patients to help them understand their conditions and treatment plans.
