Dr. Basem William is a hematologist/oncologist and a clinical/translational investigator with an internationally-recognized expertise in hematological malignancies, lymphoma, T-cell lymphomas, Cutaneous Lymphoma, drug development, blood and bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy. Dr. William is a clinical inspector for the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). He has been a PI/co-investigator/site PI on over 100 clinical trials in hematological malignancies and cell therapy. Dr. William has designed 10 investigator trials, published over 70 peer reviewed articles, over 100 peer-reviewed abstracts, and 4 books chapters. I have previously served on the NCCN Guidelines expert panel in T-cell Lymphomas. He's certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Hospice/Palliative Medicine.
Dr. William joined OhioHealth in March 2021 to help start a comprehensive Malignant Hematology and Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. Dr. William is currently the clinical director of the BMT program and the medical director of Cell Therapy laboratory. Dr. William is also the inaugural John P. McConnell Endowed Chair for Cancer Research at OhioHealth.
