Ward P. Buster, DO, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in the care of the adult neurological surgery patient. His areas of special interest are the spine, brain, tumors, and peripheral nerves.
Dr. Buster attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines where he received his medical degree.
Dr. Buster’s medical training included an internship at Henry Ford and Riverside Hospitals in Detroit and general surgery training at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. His neurological surgery training was obtained through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York and Midwestern University in Illinois at Bromenn Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Buster and his wife, Teresa, have three daughters. He enjoys spending time together as a family, traveling and fishing.
