Dr. Farrell completed his undergraduate degree with Honors in Biology at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from The Ohio State University College of Public Health before continuing on to Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois for medical school and Urology residency. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive urologic surgery at the world-renowned Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts.
During his fellowship, Dr. Farrell developed specialized expertise in reconstructive urology by performing hundreds of surgeries that involve minimally invasive and complex tissue transfer techniques to optimize outcomes for patients with complex urethral and genitourinary pathology. He has over 70 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national and international podium presentations.
Dr. Farrell has a calm and compassionate bedside matter. He believes in the importance of being readily available and is determined to provide exceptional evidence-based care. He is dedicated to fostering the patient-physician relationship through shared decision-making.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing hockey and being outdoors.
