Meet Paula Stabler, MSN RN
President, OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital
Paula Stabler, MSN, RN, is the president of Van Wert Hospital, where she previously served as Chief Nursing Officer from 2022-2025. A strategic, results-driven leader, Paula provides guidance to provide the highest quality patient-centered care. She is passionate about serving the Van Wert community as well as mentoring the next generation of local healthcare providers.
Paula has extensive experience in both for profit and non-profit health care organizations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on operational efficiencies and patient centered care. The accomplishments she is most proud of include her journey starting as a PCT, earning her nursing license and advancing into hospital leadership. She has also been instrumental in the integration journey into OhioHealth to enhance care while preserving the unique culture of Van Wert.
For Paula, supporting local organizations and giving back is what truly fills her cup. She serves on the following boards and committees: YWCA of Van Wert County, United Way of Van Wert County, Energy Special Improvement District of Van Wert County, Van Wert Health Collaborative and Van Wert Overdose Prevention Coalition.
Paula is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Science for nursing in 2010. She received a Master of Science for nursing management and leadership from Western Governors University in 2021. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family traveling, bowling and outdoor recreation.
